What makes your products unique?
When we set out to create the line, we sought to challenge the perception that natural means less effective. We combine the latest natural skincare technology with aromatherapy to produce potent, one-of-a-kind, quality formulas for the skin. Each product from is crafted from only the finest natural ingredients that are organic and wild harvested. You will never find synthetic fragrances, harsh detergents, harmful chemicals or toxic preservatives in any of our products. We disclose all our ingredients on our website so you can know exactly what it is that you’re putting on your skin.
What is the shelf-life of your products?
The shelf-life of our products is 18 months. Store our products in a cool, dark place out of direct sunlight for best results.
Where are your products manufactured?
All products are manufactured in-house with love and care to ensure both quality and freshness.
As per policy regulations, the labelling on our packaging has transitioned from “Made in Hong Kong” to “Made in China”. However, please be assured to know that we are still manufacturing in-house and at our same Hong Kong location.
Why does my new product look/smell different from my last one?
All our ingredients are sourced naturally, and as such their appearance and scent could vary due to differences in country of origin, climate and soil conditions.
Why are there visible sediments in your products?
The cloudy precipitate is naturally present in our oils. Due to a variety of fatty acids, certain ingredients in our oils could solidify under cooler temperature. Regardless, the presence of precipitate does not change or affect the quality of our formulations.
Are your product safe to use during pregnancy and while breastfeeding?
Our products are made to EWG's standards and are non-toxic and all natural. A lot of our customers continue to use our products throughout their pregnancy and while breastfeeding. However, as every pregnancy is unique, we recommend approaching a medical professional with our ingredients list if you have additional concerns.
Do you test on animals?
Never. We are strictly against animal testing, and insteadtest in the lab and on ourselves!
Are your products vegan?
While the majority of our products are vegan, our current lip restoration products contain beeswax.
Are your products gluten free?
Yes.
Subscription Policy
What is your subscription policy?
Akar is pleased to be able to offer a convenient recurring subscription policy for your favorite products at a 15% discount with every order. Easily modify the delivery frequency of the auto-renewal to fit your skincare routine. Multiple subscription orders can be combined into a single delivery on the same day.
Can I combine other discounts and promotions with my subscription?
Subscription orders cannot be combined with other discounts or promotional codes.
How can I cancel my product subscription?
You can cancel the auto-renew subscription plan anytime. To cancel your subscription, simply log in to your account and update your auto-renew plan. Feel free to reach out to our customer care team via our contact form page should you encounter any issues.
Sales & Promotions
Can I combine discount codes/use it on previous orders?
Sale discounts cannot be combined with other promotions, previous orders, or subscription purchases. Sale discounts are only applicable on orders within the sale period.
