From the ground up

Recyclability

We choose recyclable packaging wherever possible, and work to reduce packaging waste in partnership with Pact.

Operations

We conduct our operations in energy efficient facilities, opting for sustainable packing and shipping materials.

Formulations

Every single one of our formulations are rigorously screened by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), to meet strict standards for transparency and health.

Extraction methods

We utilize CO2 and cold-pressed extraction methods to protect the beneficial compounds of the plant, ensuring the purest and most effective plant oils and extracts.

Sourcing

We strive to partner with sustainable farms when selecting raw ingredients, including 37 organically grown plant actives, a cornucopia that is constantly expanding.

Our products are always free of:

Parabens
Phtalates
Sulfates
Fragrance
DEAs
MEAs
TEAs
Palm oil
PEGs
Petrolatum
Gluten
Phenoxyethanol
Synthetic dyes

Reducing Packaging Waste

We have partnered with Pact, a nonprofit collective uniting the beauty industry to reduce packaging waste and drive toward circular solutions.

Pact offers hard-to-recycle beauty collection programs to help divert this packaging from landfill, while advocating for smarter packaging design across the beauty supply chain.

Formulation Integrity

We partner with the Environmental Working Group (EWG), a nonprofit dedicated to protecting human health through transparency and rigorous ingredient standards.

Our commitment to formulas aligned with EWG's strict safety standards reflects our belief that what you put on your skin should be safe, effective, and rooted in integrity.

Plastic Neutral

As of November 6, 2023 we are committed to collecting 5,500+ pounds of plastic (that's over 250,000 water bottles!) annually through our partnership with CleanHub.

Empowering Women

We support a waste management program called Green Worms: a door-to-door waste collection service in coastal areas of Kerala in southern India. Green Worms prevents plastic from entering the ocean, while creating jobs for over 300 women, who now have the possibility to send their children to school, and have more financial control to lead independent lives and achieve their long-term life goals.

Our journey toward sustainability involves constant learning, and meaningful change.
