Processed with Purpose.

Now you can properly process your hard-to-recycle empties so they don’t end up in landfills.

Why we partnered with PACT

AKAR is proud to be part of Pact Collective, a nonprofit uniting the beauty industry to tackle the challenge of packaging waste. Most beauty packaging—like pumps, droppers, and tubes—is too small or complex to be recycled curbside. Pact steps in to properly recycle and process these materials through more sustainable solutions, including waste-to-energy and waste-to-concrete when needed.

Together, we’re working toward a more circular future—one empty at a time.

How It Works

Collect Your Empties

Save 5–10 empty AKAR (or other beauty) containers that can’t be recycled at home.

Clean Them Thoroughly

Rinse out all leftover product. Packaging must be clean and empty to be accepted.

Not everything belongs in the Pact bin. Review the guidelines before mailing.

CHECK COLLECTION GUIDELINES

Choose your path

Near a Pact bin? Drop your empties off in-store (the most sustainable option!)

No bin nearby? Send them to Pact using a small box (max 6"x6"x3") or envelope (8"x12").

Small Acts, Big Impact

We believe clean beauty should leave a light footprint—from formulas to finish. Our partnership with Pact helps keep hard-to-recycle items out of landfills and in circulation wherever possible. It’s one more way we’re committing to sustainability—beyond the jar.
