FARMING PRACTICES

We source two of our main ingredients Goji Berries and Sea Buckthorn Berries from a farm that lies on the Tibetan Plateau just north of India, one of the highest and biggest plateaus in the world. Known as “The Third Pole”, it is naturally situated to be pure as can be in its own isolation from cities and other farms. Enveloped by the surrounding snowcaps of the Himalayan Mountains that provide natural irrigation, the farm manages to be self-sustaining and safe from pollution.

Bred by harsh winters to peak nutrition, the ingredients are harvested by local farmers using traditional practices that are gentle to the environment. These ingredients are wild harvested once a year to ensure that the surroundings are undisturbed while allowing enough time for the berries to reach their prime.

As part of an extension to give back, we’ve partnered with a farm that engages in social responsibility. The farm gives the growers meaningful long term employment through the ‘SeaBerry Poverty Relief Fund’, allowing them to provide for their family and education for their children. Our gratitude extends to the farmers and locals who support us, as well as the clean beauty community for spreading the clean beauty movement that helps sustain this cycle.

SOURCING

At the moment, we only source those two ingredients from the Tibetan Plateau, but we maintain the same standards and values when it comes to sourcing other ingredients. We believe that it's important for people to know the impact of global climate change on vulnerable communities throughout the world. Preserving the environment is one of our core values and we truly believe that every small step counts towards the conservation of Mother Earth, which is why we source organic & wild harvested ingredients for our products, whenever possible.

PACKAGING

We believe beauty should be an eco-conscious cycle, from the harvesting of ingredients to the final consumption of each product. As part of our sustainability effort, we source only FSC paper for our packaging and print using soy ink. Our bottles are made of glass to maintain the purity of our products and to ensure that each product is recyclable after it’s been finished.
